A Lovely, Hopeful Reflection — Inspired by Love Story

There’s something that happens when a series finds you at exactly the right moment — when it brushes up against memories you forgot were still sharp, and hopes you didn’t realize were still glowing softly under the surface.

Watching Love Story has been that for me.

I was alive when John and Carolyn were dating and married, and I remember with heartbreaking clarity the night their plane went down. That tragedy left its mark on the world — but this series, their love story, reminds me of the beauty that came before the darkness.

Carolyn wasn’t just exquisite on the outside; she was strong, confident, elegant in the way a woman becomes when she knows who she is and doesn’t compromise that truth for anyone.

And in a world full of Karens — bless them, I’m still not sure how that name ended up meaning what it does — may we all strive to raise Carolyns… Carolyn with a y, because why not? A Carolyn is a woman who stands tall in her own skin, walks into a room with quiet certainty, and lives her life fully, boldly, and without apology.

Watching her now feels like a reminder to myself.

A reminder that every girl deserves at least one Calvin Klein underwear model in her lifetime — metaphorical or not — the kind of thrilling, intoxicating chapter that teaches you something about your own fire.

And then?

She deserves her very own Prince Charming — not the glossy fairy-tale version, but the real one. The man who sees her, pursues her, protects her heart with intention, and wants to build a charmed, wholehearted life beside her.

I’ve checked off the first one.

The second? He’ll find me when he’s supposed to. That part of my story is still unfolding, and I feel no rush… just a soft excitement for what’s ahead.

Because here’s what I know now:

In the meantime, I’m going to live my life large — deepen my career, keep growing into the woman I’m proud of, and refuse to pause my own joy waiting for anything or anyone.

Everything happens in due time. The right partner finds us when — and exactly where — they’re meant to.

My daughter nudged me to watch this series, and I’m so glad she did. I’m already on episode five, and it’s just… lovely. It’s reminding me that love isn’t something we chase — it’s something we prepare ourselves to receive.

I’m doing that.

Quietly. Boldly. Joyfully.

And someday, my granddaughter will read this and know her Honey kept her heart open, her standards high, and her life full while she waited for the love she deserved.

🍯 Honey Note

Strong women don’t harden — they glow.

They carry softness like a secret strength, romance like a language they were born speaking, and confidence that doesn’t require permission.

A strong woman can be tender and sensual, bold and warm, intuitive and unshakably herself. She refuses to shrink, refuses to be molded into someone else’s idea of “enough,” and still loves with her whole open heart.

She knows that real love won’t dim her light —it will meet her there, admire it, and shine beside her.

Honey hopes you remember this:

Your strength is beautiful.

Your softness is powerful.

Your heart is worth choosing exactly as it is.

With warmth, wonder, and a heart still wide open —

Honey 💛🐝

P.S. Here's to the chapters ahead — the ones I’m writing with every new adventure, every brave decision, every moment I choose joy over fear. My fairytale isn’t something I’m waiting on… it’s the story I’m already living, page by lovely page. And as long as I keep letting life unfold in its own wild and wonderful way — instead of handing the pen to someone else — I know the ending will be exactly what it was always meant to be. 💛✨🐝
