The Final Countdown

It’s the final countdown to Life of a Showgirl! Tomorrow, the curtain rises, and I’ll be dancing to all of Taylor Swift’s newest songs. To make the moment even sweeter, I’ll be in Atlanta, listening to “Honey” with my granddaughter—her little smile adding the brightest sparkle to the weekend. YAY!

Embracing the Shift

I feel all the newness in the air—the unmistakable turning of seasons, both outside and within. Fall arrives with its crisp air and golden light, and with it, a reminder that change can be breathtaking.

After years of walking through valleys, I’m stepping into a new chapter that feels hopeful, vibrant, and perhaps even quite special. The smile on my face isn’t forced; it’s the kind that shows up uninvited and refuses to leave. I had forgotten what this felt like, and I don’t take it for granted.

The Gift of Waiting

I am so grateful for the strength it took to spend these past two years alone—no dating, no compromises, just me and my healing. That season of waiting has made this new beginning feel all the more meaningful.

I know now: I won’t compromise my worth. I won’t give my time or my body to the wrong person. To stand here, fully whole and ready, feels like such a gift.

God’s Perfect Timing

Life has a way of teaching us patience through loss and pain. In the thick of heartache, it’s easy to believe the pain will never ease. But this too shall pass. And when it does, what rises from the ashes is something more wonderful—more deserving—than we ever imagined.

God never lets us lose the right person. Instead, He clears the path, leading us forward at the exact right time. All we need to do is trust His timing and let Him guide the way.
