Y’all, let’s talk about mocktails. Not your average kiddie cocktail, but elevated, delicious, herb-infused, sensory little celebrations in a glass—crafted to feel like a treat without the regret.
During my recent trip to Cancun, I discovered a fabulous mocktail called the Cinnamon—a refreshing blend of pear juice, lime juice, cinnamon syrup, and sparkling water. It came with a cinnamon stick garnish and a fun straw that made the whole thing feel festive and fancy. It was so lovely, I almost asked for the recipe right then and there… but now I get to share it with you!
🧪 The (Not-So) Secret Ingredient: Adaptogenic Spirits
Back home, I’ve been playing with some fun non-alcoholic spirits like:
Little Saints Lion’s Mane Mushroom Spirit – earthy, herbal, and amazing for your brain 🧠
Nowadays THC-Infused Spirit – a relaxing little twist for those Cali-sober moments 🌿
De Soi or Kin Euphorics – designed to elevate mood without the crash
They make fabulous mixers when you want the vibe of a cocktail but none of the hangover, bloat, or blood sugar rollercoaster.
Because here’s the truth: alcohol is basically poison. I’m not here to be judgy—have your treat when it brings you joy. But for many of us, the daily glass of wine (or three) isn’t serving us anymore. Thankfully, the sober-curious movement is growing, and I’m here for it!
🍹 Mocktail Magic: Fun Recipes to Try
🌟 Cancun Cinnamon
3 oz pear juice
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz cinnamon syrup (or a dash of cinnamon + maple syrup)
Top with sparkling water
Serve over ice with a cinnamon stick + a stripey straw for flair
🍋 Zesty Glow-Up
2 oz apple juice
1 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz rosemary simple syrup
Sparkling water
Garnish with rosemary sprig and grapefruit wedge
🍏 Apple Cider Fizz (Tastes Boozy… but Isn’t!)
2 oz apple cider vinegar
3 oz apple juice
1/2 oz honey
Top with soda water
Serve over crushed ice with a cinnamon sugar rim
🐝 Honey Tip: Watch the sugar and carbonation. Too much of either can dull the sparkle you’re trying to get back. A splash of vinegar or citrus keeps things balanced and even adds gut-friendly benefits!
💫 Why It’s Cool to Be (Cali) Sober
Gone are the days where not drinking meant staying home. Being sober—or sober-ish—is chic, healthy, and empowering. You get the joy, the flavor, the connection… and wake up with energy, clarity, and a happy gut.
So whether you’re sober, Cali-sober, or just curious—mocktails let you be part of the party on your terms. And y’all, there’s nothing cooler than that.
With love, spice, and everything nice,
Honey 🍸💛
