Because you deserve to enjoy your one wild and beautiful life.

There are few things that spark joy quite like opening your Delta app and seeing five upcoming trips lined up—one check-in just a day away, another waiting for you 225 days from now. It’s like a love letter from your future self saying, “Hey, girl… I’m proud of you for living.” And you should be proud. Life is meant to be wild and adventurous and fully lived—with your heart open and your carry-on packed.
For years, I wrestled with guilt around travel. I felt like if I wasn’t visiting family or helping someone else, my time away wasn’t justified. I questioned spending money on vacations when I could’ve saved it or used it for someone else’s needs. And perhaps the heaviest guilt of all was daring to enjoy life while someone close to me was struggling. I’ve come to realize—that’s not selflessness. That’s codependency. And it’s no way to truly live.
We are not here to shrink ourselves for the comfort of others.
We are not here to suffer in solidarity.
We are here to live.
To play, to grow, to learn. Did you know play is actually a function of learning? It sharpens the mind, opens the heart, and builds resilience. And travel? It’s play in motion. It stretches our understanding of the world and reminds us how big and beautiful life can be. The smells, the colors, the flavors, the people—it all becomes part of the mosaic of who you are.
You can love your people deeply. You can be there, wholeheartedly, when they need you. But you can’t do it well if you’re running on empty. Your joy matters too. Your curiosity, your pleasure, your wild ideas and impulsive yeses—they matter.
Let go of the guilt. Let go of the myth that sacrifice is the only measure of goodness. You are allowed to feel joy even when others are hurting. And guess what? When you do, you inspire others to find their joy too.
So book the flight. Say yes to the trip. Run through the fountain. Make the memory.
Your life doesn’t come with a prize for self-neglect.
But it can come with wonder, laughter, growth—and maybe a few extra stamps on your passport.
🐝 Honey Note:
Life is short, but the memories you create when you say yes to joy will last forever. You can be kind, compassionate, and giving—and still say yes to adventure, yes to play, yes to you. And don’t let anyone make you feel guilty about it.
With my suitcase packed and heart wide open,

P.S.
If you’ve been waiting for permission to go, to play, to live boldly—I hope this is it. Life isn’t meant to be paused until everything is perfect or everyone is okay. Your joy doesn’t take away from anyone else’s. So go on—chase the sun, wander far, dance barefoot in a new city. The world is waiting for you, and you’re allowed to love every second of it.
