Wear the Same Shoes, Go Further

Some people say, “buy the shoes.”
Lately, I’ve been wondering…
what if we just wore them further?
I understand the sentiment—life is meant to be enjoyed, and there’s nothing wrong with treating ourselves.
But perhaps it’s not always about having more…
but about experiencing more.
What if instead of buying another pair of shoes, we wore the ones we already have a little longer-
and used that time, that money, that energy to go somewhere new,
to see something beautiful,
to feel something that changes us?
Because life only happens once for each of us.
And sometimes the greatest joy doesn’t come from adding more things to our lives…
but from opening ourselves up to more of the world, more of the experience,
and more of who we can become along the way.
I almost chose the easier option.
The more practical one.
The one that made sense on paper.
But something in me paused and asked,
“What would feel better—not just now, but later?”
And the answer was simple.
More time.
More experience.
More presence.
So I changed the plan.
Not in a dramatic way…
just in a small, intentional way that made everything feel a little fuller,
a little richer, and more aligned with the life I want to live.
Maybe that’s the lesson.
To stay open.
To reconsider.
To not be so attached to the first plan that we miss a better one.
Because sometimes the most beautiful moments come from the willingness to ask,
“What if I did this differently?”
And then having the courage to follow that thought just a little bit further.
Honey Note 🍯
You don’t have to change everything to change your life. Sometimes it’s just a small shift—a different choice, a softer plan, a moment of openness—that leads you somewhere you didn’t even know you were meant to go.
With love, curiosity, and a heart open to more,
Honey 💛
P.S. If life ever offers you the chance to add one more day to a Grecian adventure… perhaps say yes. If we’re fortunate enough to have the opportunity, a little more time, a little more beauty, and a little more wonder is rarely something we regret. 💛

a final chapter instead of an abrupt ending
And that changes everything.
